Blue Bay (Dutch: Blauwbaai) is a beach on the Caribbean island of Curaçao, located close to the fishermen’s village of Sint-Michiel to the north-west of Willemstad. The beach is named after a plantation “Blaauw” that was located nearby. There are several restaurants at the beach and golf course. The beach is used for snorkeling and diving, because of its crystal-clear water. Near by you will find a golf course and a hockey pitch. The Blue Bay Sculpture Garden is located nearby in a tourist resort.
Blue Bay Beach is a vast, shady beach just north of the village of Sint Michiel. The beach has many amenities and is popular among locals and visitors for its soft, white sand. The seabed slopes gently so that children can enjoy their play. There are lounge chairs, palm trees and parasols, a nice bar and restaurant, a water sports center (diving and sea kayaking!) and a bikini shop. There is a children’s playground, a fairly large swimming pool and there are showers and toilets. On Sunday you can enjoy a barbecue lunch. An entrance fee is charged.
