Playa Piskado

Playa Piskado is a fishermen’s beach, there are a couple of chairs you can rent, but it’s  not what most people would imagine if they think of a beach in the Carribean. But nonetheless this place is becoming a tourists must visit. Especially for those who wants to dive or snorkel to see and swim with turtles, there is almost always turtles in this area. There is a snack bar here as well , but it’s only open on weekends.

Swimming with the Turtles:

The fishermen at Playa Piskado throw the residual waste of fish into the sea.The sea turtles are attracted to this, because it is tasty food for them. They say that you have the best chance of seeing the turtles in the water at Playa Piskado and swimming with them between 10:00 and 12:00. The turtles are beautiful and move gracefully through the clear blue water. Some turtles are up to a meter in size! Take beautiful photos of them and swim around with them; an unforgettable adventure. The turtles really appreciate it if you keep a suitable distance and don’t touch them. After all, nobody likes that – without asking.
