Jan Kok, flamingo sanctuary

Here you will find a special viewing post to watch the flamingos. Along the road from Willemstad to Sint Willibrordus you will find the country house of Jan Kok, with the salt lake with the flamingos. Between 06:30 and 07:30 you have the best chance of a salt lake full of flamingos!

In 2018 you could park your car along the side of the road, at the chip shop ‘Grote Berg Patat’. You can only see the flamingos here from a distance. The food truck has moved location after. To get really close to a flamingo, it is best to go to the following location.
